Since 2011, I have been a passionate student of yoga. I have experience in the following forms of yoga: Ashtanga, Baptiste, Boustany Hatha Yoga (Pralaya Yoga), Hatha, Hot, Kemetic, Power, Aerial, and Vinyasa Flow. The classes I teach include a mix of elements from this variety.
Initially I was drawn to hot and power yoga for its physical demands and benefits, but I quickly embraced the emotional and rejuvenating qualities of the practice as well. Additionally, many other rewarding qualities including health, happiness and patience have come to me as a result of practicing yoga. I am enjoying a beautiful lifelong journey and a fresh lifestyle that have emerged out of my commitment to yoga.
In 2013, I studied Hatha Yoga under Lex Gillan, Founder of The Yoga Institute in Houston, Texas and Founder of the National Association of Certified Yoga Teachers (NACYT). I received a 200 hour Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) certification and a 200 hour NACYT certification from The Yoga Institute. My decision to become certified developed out of a desire to give others the opportunity to fall in love with yoga as I did. I feel privileged to have found something that will never feel like a routine, something that will always be magical, alive and mindful.
In 2015, I completed the Aerial Yoga Teacher Training program offered by Your Body Center (YBC), facilitated by Ernesto Cardenas (Owner, YBC) and Amanda Field (200 RYT).
In 2017, I completed my 500 hour RYT in the form of a 12-18 month apprenticeship with Robert Boustany (The Pralaya Yoga System). I currently study Ashtanga Yoga under Rachel Nystrom (Founder, Ashtanga Yoga Houston).
